Short version — we collect only what you send us. This is a static brochure site: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and the site sets no cookies of its own. The data described below is the minimum the open web touches when a page is served, and you can ask for a copy or a deletion at any time.

Hosting & server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and keep the service secure, our hosting provider processes standard technical data on our behalf — such as your IP address, browser user-agent, and request timestamps. This is processed as a service provider (processor) for us; legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
If you write to us
If you write to hello@atheric.eu, we receive your message and your sending address, and process them solely to read and reply, and to keep necessary records. The inquiry composer on the front page is the same channel with a shorter path: it sends your message and your reply-to address to our inquiry endpoint, which runs on the Cloudflare infrastructure described above and exists only to deliver them to that same inbox. While direct delivery is not yet enabled, the composer instead hands your message back to your own mail app and nothing reaches us until you send it yourself; once it is enabled, delivery runs through our email delivery provider, Resend (United States), processing as a service provider for us. Legal basis: legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us (Art. 6(1)(f)); if correspondence becomes part of a commission inquiry, the basis shifts to pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
What we don't collect
- No analytics — no Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Umami, or similar.
- No advertising or marketing pixels.
- No cookies — the site sets no cookies of its own.
- No third-party fonts — Archivo, Instrument Serif, and JetBrains Mono are self-hosted under /fonts/.
- No third-party iframes or embeds.
- Nothing stored in your browser except one working note: while you type into the inquiry composer, your draft — the message and your reply-to address — is kept in session storage, on your machine only, so a stray reload cannot eat it. It is cleared when the site confirms delivery, and gone when the tab closes.
How long we keep things
Inquiry emails are retained until the conversation has been resolved and a reasonable correspondence-record period has passed (typically twelve months). If you ask us to delete earlier, we will. Server logs are retained per the host's standard policy.
International transfers
Our host, Cloudflare, and — once direct delivery is enabled — our email delivery provider, Resend, are based in the United States. Transfer protections rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision where the provider is certified, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses otherwise. Email transit may pass through similar infrastructure; the contents are encrypted in transit (TLS).
Your rights
- Access — ask for a copy of what we hold.
- Rectification — ask us to correct it.
- Erasure — ask us to delete it.
- Restriction — ask us to limit processing.
- Portability — receive what we hold in a machine-readable form.
- Objection — object to processing on legitimate-interest grounds.
Exercise any of these by writing to hello@atheric.eu. We will respond within thirty days.
Complaints
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman — tietosuoja.fi.
Changes
This notice will be revised when the Atheric aputoiminimi is registered or when commercial activity formalises under the name. The date below reflects the last revision.
